Prudential – Helping to Build the Talent Pipeline across Asia

Senior Couple

Future Leaders International is very proud to have designed and delivered three levels of Talent Assessment & Development programs for Prudential Corporation across Asia. Prudential wished to accurately and objectively identify emerging High Potential Leaders early in their careers, and within each local business unit across 14 countries in Asia. FLI designed an Emerging Talent Development Centre and trained local leaders and HR teams to deliver the DC’s in every country across Asia. To support Prudential’s rapid expansion across Asia, FLI was also engaged to design and deliver two senior Leader Acceleration Programs: one to build bench strength and succession pools for Country Manager roles, and one to build the bench strength for senior functional leadership roles across Asia over the next decade.

Prudential investing in Asia’s future

The 160-year old UK life insurer is today a dynamic and fast growing international retail financial services company with a diverse geographic footprint across Asia.

Helping people plan for a brighter tomorrow is at the heart of Prudential’s business and community activities in Asia. Prudential’s children and education-focused programmes aim to give young people the best opportunities to develop their potential for a better future.
Over the last several years, Prudential has supported Room To Read’s efforts to build schools, libraries and language labs, as well as to publish local language books, in a number of countries across Asia, including Vietnam, India, Cambodia and Sri Lanka. Room to Read share our belief in the power of education to improve and enrich lives, especially children.

Prudential also donated first aid kits and school supplies which included uniforms, shoes and school bags to Sangkheum Center for Children, an orphanage located in Cambodia for underprivileged children.

In its efforts to play a role in the development of human resources in Malaysia, Prudential Assurance introduced the Prudential Young Talent Development Programme. The programme enables high-potential students to acquire vital knowledge and skills to help them start their careers in today’s challenging employment market. 16 final-year students from a local university were selected to attend the five-day residential programme that focused on three key areas: a high sense of self-awareness, personal effectiveness, and key skills and behaviours during selection interviews.
